Alternate Eightyfive
"Kill the Moment"
(Sardakaur)

Alternate Eightyfive was part of the same conglomoration of Seattle bands that included Schoolyard Heroes, Acceptance, Kane Hodder and Vendetta Red. Despite my personal opinion that among those bands, these dudes were the best, they were often plagued with issues in terms of playing outside of the city. This is their only recording and it's really fucking good. In the vein of early Glasseater or Kid Dynamite.

Shoes For Imelda
"Telephrend"
(Self-Released)
Mountlake Terrace screamo. Good times. Dave Wood was in this band, along with my cousin Jay and James, who I've known for over 20 years or some such. Download it if you like Jimmy Eat World and/or Glassjaw.

The New Avenues
"Demo 2001/02"
(Self-Released)

The New Avenues was a band that my friend Keegan started wayyyyy back in the day. It's heavy on the powerpop a la Weezer and the Cars. It's good stuff. Keegan's one of those dudes who plays pretty much every instrument and knows his way around a hook. I highly recommend this as it's a bonafide summer jam.

Homedude has a new project called Anti-Aging, also worth checking out. Maybe if I stop being lazy, I'll post the demo up here.

Countdown to Life
"EP"
(AMP/State of Grace)

Before Broadway Calls was out making some of the best pop-punk right now, Ty Vaughn and Josh Baird were in the hardcore outfit, Countdown to Life. While the band's debut, "Tragedy is Irresistable" has some pretty great moments, they're split with Thirty3 has some of the most promising songs.

This split was originally released as an insert in an issue of AMP Magazine but was later repressed as a full-length split, adding extra songs from "Tragedy."

The songs in this download are the three unreleased songs.
