so a long time ago, i took the "backed with" name because i wanted to have an mp3blog for rare songs, etc etc. and then i sort of forgot about it. well thanks to the awesome power of blogamp, i can bring you the hits!

for this inaugural post, i uploaded three of my favorite songs. ever.

the first is donny hathaway's "little ghetto boy" from his "live" album. if the song sounds familiar it's because dr. dre used it for 1993's "the chronic." 2pac may have used it too. it's a pretty famous song.

the second song is billy bragg's "a new england." it's my favorite billy bragg song of all time and i listened to it a lot while i was writing my book.

lastly, we have a track from long island quasi-hardcore/pop-punk outfit, the movielife. "sailor tattoos" is from their split with exnumberfive. an acoustic version of the song appears on the tour version of their final album "40 hour train back to penn," but this full-band version is rare and out of print.
